Biodiversity Scientist


Jocelyn Colella is Assistant Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and Curator of Mammals at the University of Kansas Biodiversity Institute. Colella's Ecological and Evolutionary Genomics lab investigates adaptation to extreme environments, hybrid dynamics, and linked evolution of parasites and pathogens in mammals. She is also the co-founder of the Museums and Emerging Pathogens in the Americas (MEPA) Community of Practice: https://hsc.unm.edu/medicine/education/echo/emerging-pathogens/.
