Daniel Becker is an Assistant Professor in the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Oklahoma. His group focuses on how zoonotic pathogens spread within and between species, with an affinity for wild bat and bird systems and using a combination of field, molecular, and computational methods. He is also a Co-PI of the Verena Institute and a member of The Lancet-PPATS Commission on Prevention of Viral Spillover.
